Lambchop share new track ‘NIV’

FLOTUS out 4 November 2016 via City Slang

European tour to begin in January 2017

Kurt Wagner to play solo Rough Trade East Show, plus Flotus Q&A on 8 November 2016

Listen to ‘NIV’:

Lambchop have shared ‘NIV’ – the penultimate track from their forthcoming album FLOTUS – out 4 November 2016 via City Slang. In addition to the track, the band have also announced a huge European tour, kicking off in January 2017 and running through until early March.

Originally heard in the teaser trailer for FLOTUS, ‘NIV’ continues Kurt Wagner’s exploration of R&B and hip-hop with a jittery, ebbing bass line that meets more of Lambchop’s beautiful piano flourishes. Pulling it all together with Wagner’s vocals brilliantly skewed and utilised as an instrument, ‘NIV’ is both at once another hugely beguiling Lambchop track and a fascinating insight into the new paths they’re exploring on FLOTUS.

FLOTUS is available for pre-order now on CD, 2LP and also as a special limited edition Wine Box in collaboration with Austrian winery ‘Gut Oggau’ in the City Slang store.

Kurt Wagner will visit Rough Trade East on 8 November for a FLOTUS Q&A and a solo acoustic performance. Information can be found here:

More Lambchop tour dates – including details for the UK – will be announced shortly.
